DAVID announces Maine Municipal Association selects NavRisk
Prominent Municipal Risk Pool replaces legacy applications with modern technology
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - August 13, 2012 - DAVID Corporation, leading provider of risk management information systems to the alternative risk market, today announced that the Maine Municipal Association (MMA) has selected the NavRisk® suite to replace their existing Claims and Policy Administration applications. The MMA Risk Management Services group provides underwriting, member services, claims and loss prevention services to program participants.
MMA required a risk management system that truly integrated their policy administration, underwriting and claims management, data, processes and procedures. After previous unsatisfactory attempts at integrating their core systems, they sought a complete replacement from a vendor who had a successful track record of core systems integration.
"Two years ago, we came to the conclusion that we needed to cut our losses and start fresh with a new vendor to help us achieve our goals of not just implementing an integrated policy and claims system, but to help us provide services beyond traditional underwriting and claims management, such as enhanced analytics and loss control to our members," stated Patricia Kablitz, Director of Risk Management Services. "After an intense and thorough vetting process that included multiple interviews with DAVID's existing clients, we feel confident that DAVID Corporation is the right partner and NavRisk is the right solution, to help us finally achieve what we set out to do years ago."
NavRisk is a full service risk management and insurance software solution currently in production with Insured Organizations, TPAs, and Risk Pools. NavRisk has helped clients dramatically reduce their cost per claim, cut administrative costs in half and recognize six-figure operational savings through automated workflow, a sophisticated business rules engine and integrated core systems.
"Understanding the complexity involved in integrating processes from multiple business units requires a deep understanding of the risk management discipline and a high competency in software design - it's a mix of art and science," stated Alex Aminian, President and CEO of DAVID Corporation. He furthered, "NavRisk was designed in collaboration with our clients to support unique needs and workflows to help them achieve profitability and increase their client's satisfaction. We look forward to collaborating with MMA to help them be even more successful and achieve their business objectives."
NavRisk supports workers' compensation, general liability, auto, property, inland marine, professional liability and hundreds of specialty lines of business. The comprehensive suite consists of NavRisk Policy, policy administration and underwriting; NavRisk Claims, claims management; NavRisk Central, self service risk management portal and NavRisk Analytics, advanced reporting and business intelligence.
